ReadFlow

Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026  ·  Version 1.0.0

Short version: ReadFlow does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. Everything stays on your device. No account required. No tracking. No ads.

1. Overview

ReadFlow ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension that enhances reading productivity through Bionic Reading, RSVP Speed Reading, Focus Mode, and reading analytics. This Privacy Policy explains what data the Extension accesses and how it is used.

2. Data We Collect

ReadFlow collects no personal data. Specifically:

3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The Extension stores the following data only on your device using Chrome's built-in storage APIs:

All stored data can be deleted at any time via the Extension's Settings → "Clear All Data" button.

4. Permissions Used

No permission grants access to your browsing history, passwords, bookmarks, or any external service.

5. Page Content Access

The content script reads the text content of the currently viewed web page solely to apply reading enhancements (Bionic Reading transformation, RSVP word extraction, article detection for Reader Mode). This processing happens entirely within your browser. Page content is never sent anywhere.

6. Third-Party Services

ReadFlow does not integrate with any third-party services, APIs, or analytics platforms. No data leaves your browser.

7. Children's Privacy

ReadFlow does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The Extension contains no age-gated features and processes no personal data from any user.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the Extension's functionality. The current version is always available on this page and in the Chrome Web Store listing. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

9. Contact

For privacy questions or data deletion requests, please open an issue on our GitHub repository or contact us through the Chrome Web Store listing.
